Program Overview


Interior Architecture and Design (including foundation year) - BA (Hons)

The Interior Architecture and Design (including foundation year) BA (Hons) course is designed to help students build a portfolio of work while developing the necessary skills to begin an undergraduate degree. With an incorporated foundation year, this course is also a gateway into an undergraduate degree for those who do not meet the necessary requirements for the three-year course.

    • At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, e.g., BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma)
    • English Language GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
    • Attendance at an interview with a portfolio of creative work is required. For international students, a small portfolio of work must be submitted via email.

Accreditation of Prior Learning

Any university-level qualifications or relevant experience gained prior to starting university could count towards the course at London Met. This is known as Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).


English Language Requirements

To study a degree at London Met, students must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If a Student visa (previously Tier 4) is required, the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS may be needed.


Assessment

Assessments during the four-year course will consist of presentations, illustrated documents, essays, seminar papers, tests, and a dissertation.

The foundation year is shared with other students in the School of Art, Architecture, and Design and helps develop knowledge and skills related to a range of specialist undergraduate degree programs.
