The program focuses on providing students with the theoretical, technical, and methodological skills needed to design complex digital communication systems. It combines creativity with strategy, and employs an analytical and systemic approach to design, informed by cognitive psychology and contemporary visual culture.

The MAUXD aims to:
- Equip students to identify the potential of new technologies and the impact of human-computer interaction.
- Train students in organizing and managing complex design projects, integrating experience, branding, design, and usability aspects of digital products or online services for effective content management.
Program Description:
The MAUXD program comprises two years of study. The first year introduces students to the visual communication project methodology in the field of graphic and branding. It provides basic knowledge of project management, from economic-financial aspects to marketing, research, and briefing, through advanced studies in project methodology, art direction, and the phenomenology of contemporary arts. Students engage in workshop experiences and theoretical lectures, complete integrated marketing communication projects, acquire a strong understanding of media methodologies, and develop contemporary visual languages and styles suitable for the technological context. The second year allows students to specialize in new digital communication systems through advanced studies in project methodology, interface design, interaction design, digital marketing, social media strategy, and business modeling. Exploring the creative possibilities of contemporary technologies and gaining firsthand experience in producing digital interfaces, students acquire an informed methodological approach to managing the multiple variables and skills required for developing complex UX/UI projects. The program includes various project experiences, participation in international contests, and the design of digital systems for the valorization and communication of public and private cultural heritage, enabling students to acquire knowledge and skills for professional careers.

The MAUXD program is offered in Italian and English. The program commences in October and concludes in February of the following academic year.

Language Proficiency Requirements
For all applicants whose first language is not English, proof of English language proficiency is required. This can be demonstrated by achieving the following scores on one of the following tests:
- TOEFL: a score of 90 or above on the internet-based test (iBT).
- IELTS: a score of 7.0 or above on the Academic test. The Master of Arts in User Experience Design (Second Level Academic Degree in Communication Design) is a two-year program taught in English and Italian. The program is open to students from all over the world who have a passion for user experience design.
