Summer Courses: Sound Design

This introductory-level course provides a thorough understanding of the sound dimension in the context of electronic music production, film, television, and radio sound design.


Objectives:

  • Equip students with the knowledge necessary to produce a sound design project.
  • Guide students through exploring the practical aspects of sound.
  • Offer hands-on application of theoretical and technical knowledge in various sound design operational contexts.

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education.
  • Minimum GPA: A minimum GPA of 70/100 is required.
  • Portfolio Review: All applicants must submit a portfolio of creative work demonstrating their artistic skills and potential.
  • The portfolio should include a minimum of 10 pieces of work, across a variety of media.

International Overseas Students (Outside the EU):

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education.
  • Minimum GPA: A minimum GPA of 75/100 is required.
  • English Language Proficiency: Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by achieving a minimum score of:
  • TOEFL iBT: 80
  • IELTS: 6.5
  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 62
  • Portfolio Review: All applicants must submit a portfolio of creative work demonstrating their artistic skills and potential.
  • The portfolio should include a minimum of 10 pieces of work, across a variety of media.

Additional Requirements for International Students:

  • Visa Requirements: International students may require a student visa to study in Italy.
  • Health Insurance: All international students must have health insurance coverage while studying in Italy.
