About Program

Program Overview

Construction is witnessing a transformation to become a smart and technologically innovative industry. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective innovation and successfully manage projects in this ever-evolving field.

As part of your course, you’ll:

You could already be working as a construction professional and be aiming to enhance your knowledge, or you could be from a technical background, including engineering or architectural technology, and want to build your business acumen and management skills.

Industry links

We are committed to providing you with opportunities to network with industry specialists and practitioners through our series of guest lectures and activities involving construction experts. The lecturers who will lead your studies are respected professionals, many of whom continue to practise.

Centre for Knowledge Exchange

The School of Built Environment, Engineering & Computing is home to the Centre for Knowledge Exchange (CKE), an enterprise hub that connects our university with the regional built environment sector through seminars, workshops and networking events.

The CKE also runs two business networks, which support and enhance the activity of the school and help us to ensure the course meets the rigorous standards expected in industry: Constructing Excellence Yorkshire & Humber and ThinkBIM.

Cutting-edge research

In addition, our university is playing a key role in accelerating innovations in the industry through cutting-edge research into smart construction. We are home to the Leeds Sustainability Institute, which aims to tackle the challenge of creating more sustainable places, communities and economies to enable society and its infrastructure to become sustainable.
