Program Overview


Our BA (Hons) Business and Management degree aims to shape the next generation of inspiring leaders. Develop your understanding of how organisations operate and the importance of effective management.

This is an industry-relevant, practical and contemporary business and management programme. With close links to business and enterprise, you'll have opportunities to gain vital work experience.

On this business management degree, there's plenty of opportunity for practical learning. Develop core business and management skills such as; problem-solving, decision-making and team working.

You’ll learn about the key ideas, models and theories that underpin contemporary management. Put your skills into practice through live projects, short-term internships and volunteering. You’ll also have the option of a 48 week industry placement in year 3 of your business degree programme.

BM1001: Creativity, Enterprise and Scholarship

Develop key skills in scholarship, research and learning technology to aid your academic studies. Using relevant themes as a basis, you'll develop oral, presentation, debating, academic writing and research skills. The module will equip you with a complete ‘toolkit’ of academic, personal and professional skills.


BM1005: Business Landscape

This module aims to develop your understanding of the contemporary landscape of business. You'll examine the internal and external environment of business and define the key issues that are impacting on business currently.

BM2003: Business Futures

This module aims to explore key issues related to the future of business and how organisations can manage these. It will enable you to understand the key issues businesses are likely to face in the future and apply management theories in order demonstrate how organisations can deal with these issues.


BM2005: Digital Marketing

The module aims to provide you with insights into the core aspects of digital marketing. You will appreciate the multiple platforms and digital communication methods available to modern marketers. You will also consider the influences of digital marketing communication on consumer behaviour and organisational decision making. The purpose of the module is to prepare you for future digital marketing careers and provide opportunities to apply knowledge and skills in workplace environments, following the completion of your degree.

BM3001: Business Strategy

This module provides an introduction to strategy and a range of models and theories so you can understand their use in different contexts. The focus is on the development of strategy and strategic concerns given that strategy is inextricably linked to the nature, structure, and success of business.


BM3006: Running Your Enterprise

This module is for students who might be considering starting their own business or working with a small business to help it grow. You'll gain a thorough understanding of the small business sector and all the areas that impact a small business. It'll enable you to practically apply academic theories to business and understand how small business owners make decisions and plans. Engagement with business is a key feature of this module through case study, test trading through pop-ups or working with an existing business in the profit or non-profit sector.


BM3025: Contemporary Digital and Media Markets

This module aims to equip you with a critical appreciation of the contemporary frameworks, tools and approaches which are available to digital marketers and media creators. So that you are equipped with the ability to formulate appropriate campaign and media strategies, either in business-to-business or business to consumer markets.


Course Delivery

Following the pandemic, we have found that some courses benefit from a blended learning and teaching approach. Therefore, the majority of your teaching will be face-to-face on campus aside from a small amount of online teaching where we have learnt it works best.

Our business and management graduates secure employment in a wide variety of posts. From Accountancy and Finance, Project Management, Franchising, Retail, Buying, Business Analytics. Graduates are also in demand in a range of Business Support functions such as HR, Marketing, Logistics and Customer Service.

When we review your application we will consider your educational achievements. As well as your predicted grades, work experience and personal statement. If you aren’t eligible for an offer, we have Foundation Entry options across the majority of our undergraduate programmes. Throughout this business course you’ll attend a mixture of lectures, workshops, and practical sessions. You'll also carry out independent study.

We’ll assess your progress through essays, reports, oral presentations and collaborative assessments. You’ll also be challenged to tackle live briefs involving our contacts in industry. Exams account for no more than 50% of your final mark on any module (except for the Accounting modules).

You have the option of gaining vital work experience by undertaking a paid year-long placement in industry.

In your final year you’ll focus on exploring Business Strategy, Management and Leadership. You'll also gain experience working on large scale external client projects. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a dissertation.

We have strong links with leading local and national businesses. You’ll get the chance to work on live business challenges with real clients. We also host guest speaker events. These events are organised in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The companies we work with offer internships, placements and live projects. These companies also provide mentors with excellent practical experience. We also offer you the chance to study extra modules to gain an extra professional body qualification.

We offer you the chance to study abroad and take some of your modules at our Cyprus Campus.
