Program Overview

The foundation forms the first academic year, and this prepatory year is taught at our National Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine at our Westlakes campus in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

During this first year, you will learn scientific communication skills, fundamental biomedical sciences, and mathematics that, after your foundation year, you will apply to normal human body functioning and then later the disease state.
