Program Overview

On this course you will specialise in health and fitness or nutrition and food science. Develop your understanding of nutrition and exercise science. And the role this plays in a wider social context.

You'll access our state-of-the-art laboratories which boast a wide variety of equipment. This includes advanced physiology, nutrition and food chemistry laboratory facilities. Get a holistic overview of the subject allowing you to make an informed choice as you specialise.

Alongside your academic studies you’ll play 30 games of football a year. You'll have the opportunity to progress from university through to a first team level.

We have a partnership with Macclesfield FC, allowing you to work with their elite coaching staff. You'll build your own personal coaching and development plan as a football player. This includes match analysis and feedback, and strength and conditioning. You'll also receive coaching from UEFA qualified coaches.

Put your studies into practice in an elite sporting environment and get a detailed understanding of modern football. We’ll help you to establish your own professional network. And, we'll provide structured mentoring so you create a firm footing for a successful career. There are also coaching opportunities and funding options for FA Level 1, FA Level 2 and UEFA B Licence.
