The (CIPD) Certificate in Professional Learning & Organisational Development is a one-year program designed for those involved in training, learning, organisational development, and talent development in organisations. The program covers the essential elements of Learning & Development, applying best-in-class theory and approaches to real-world scenarios.

• Duration: 1 year
• NFQ Level: Level 7
• Award: Level 7 QQI Certificate in Professional Learning & Organisational Development
• CIPD Qualification: Leads to CIPD qualification and Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)

Entry Requirements

• The program is designed for those at work or seeking to make a career change towards training and development.
• There are no specific academic requirements, with applicants considered based on relevant work and other experience.
• Due to QQI regulations, students must have an address in Ireland.

Course Delivery

• Format: Blended (live online with some face-to-face classes)
• Schedule: 2 evenings a week (18:30-22:00) plus 5 on-campus Saturdays (09:30-17:30)
• Assessment: Skills assessments, projects, and team presentations

Fees and Funding

• Course Fee: 2,600 total fee (fees revised annually)
• Direct Debit Plan: Available to spread the cost of the course
• Laptop Loan Scheme: Available for eligible students to assist with completing the course

Laptop Requirements

• Processor: Intel 11th Gen or newer, Core i3 / i5 / i7 or AMD 5000 Series or newer, Ryzen 3 / 5 / 7
• RAM: 16GB or greater
• Storage: SSD (Solid State Drive) 256GB or greater
• Wireless Card: 802.11 n/ac/ax capability
• Operating System: Windows 11 or later version of MAC OS (Chromebooks not recommended)

Additional Information

• The program is taught by lecturers with years of practical experience in Learning & Development.
• Upon successful completion of the certificate, there are only two more modules to complete for achievement of the Diploma in Professional Learning & Organisational Development.
• A separate membership fee (currently £140, subject to revision) should be paid directly to CIPD to gain student membership.
