The B.Tech in Engineering Physics (EP) program at Bennett University (BU) provides a solid foundation in Physics, Mathematics, and engineering. The curriculum exposes students to advanced courses in material science, photonics, and quantum physics, which find diverse applications in many technological sectors such as nanotechnology, optical fiber communication, quantum technology, to name a few. The B. Tech EP program aims to offer a four-dimensional (4D) teaching and learning experience to the students. In a 4D approach, the students get the opportunity to develop knowledge, skill, character as well as metacognition mindset. The curriculum is divided into three broad sections of Core, Elective and Project. The core curriculum is bifurcated in such a way that the basic science is in harmony with engineering science and social science courses. Strong foundation in fundamental science, is the heart of the EP program. Apart from Physics, the curriculum has courses from other fundamental branches with an emphasis on Mathematics. The humanities and social science courses in the curriculum, cater for soft skill and character development. Additionally, it offers insights into the mental make-up of entrepreneurs. The courses in engineering science have elements of computer science, mechanical engineering along with electronics and communication engineering. The curriculum allows a unique opportunity to students to choose between a computer science and electronic courses, apart from the mandatory foundation level subjects.
