Leadership of International and Non-Governmental Organizations Certificate of Advanced Study
Grow your ability to lead international and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) involved in functions previously managed by national governments including: service delivery, poverty reduction, conflict management and corruption prevention.
Program Details
- Location: On campus in Syracuse, N.Y.
- Credits: 12 graduate-level credits (four courses)
- Duration: Can be completed full time in one semester of study or part time over one to three years, either on campus or online
- Eligibility: Open to current midcareer public administration and international affairs graduate students (E.M.P.A. and E.M.I.R. only, not available in Washington, D.C.) and non-matriculated midcareer students
- Requirements: Bachelor's degree and significant work experience required

Admission and Financial Aid
- Open to students who have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and at least seven years of work experience
- Financial aid in the form of federal education loans are not available for this stand-alone CAS
- Applicants should inquire within their employers/agencies about funding for professional development
U.S. Veterans
- The CAS program is an approved program of study at Syracuse University, allowing student veterans to access VA benefits toward their study in this field
- Student veterans are assisted with their veteran educational benefits by the Office of Veteran Success, including unlimited participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program, allowing Post-9/11 GI Bill students to receive additional funding to cover required tuition and fees

Program Objectives
