The BA(Hons) International Business degree provides a solid grounding in business management fundamentals, focusing on international business. To be eligible for the course, students will need to meet the following Level 2 requirements:
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English and Mathematics, or equivalent. In addition to the above Level 2 qualifications, students will need to achieve the published tariff points from their Level 3 studies prior to entry.

Learning and Teaching
On the BA(Hons) International Business course, students will learn by doing and engage in active participation, supporting them to gradually become more independent as they progress through the course. Each module enables students to prepare for and participate in classes and practise their skills.
Study Time
In a typical week, students could expect to be timetabled with academic staff for an average of 12 hours. They will also engage with a range of additional academic and professional development activities and work on practice and assessment tasks through independent self-study for 28 hours per week on average.
Assessment
The assessment strategy focuses on developing subject knowledge, practical skills, and professional attributes within key business environments, including the chosen area of specialism. The scaffolded structure ensures assessments progressively challenge students as they advance through each year of the course.

Features
Placements
Students are required to undertake either an internationally focused placement or study year abroad in English. Through an internationally focused placement, students will gain real-world international experience and skills to increase their employability internationally.
