Program Overview

The Smart Sensing Professional/Short Course at UWE Bristol is a 15-credit level 7 module that focuses on implantable and wearable sensors in healthcare. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of biosensors, their applications, and design their own (bio)sensor systems for specific healthcare needs. The course is led by Dr. Kevin Honeychurch and draws on the expertise of faculty within the School of Applied Sciences. Graduates can pursue careers in various sectors related to healthcare technology, including biosensor design and development, medical device research and development, clinical research, and healthcare consultancy.
