BA(Hons) Graphic Design
The BA(Hons) Graphic Design course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the graphic design industry.
About
This course is open for applications and is based at the Arnolfini, at the heart of Bristol's creative and cultural community. Students will learn from practising graphic designers in a professional studio environment.

Graphic design makes a powerful contribution to the cultural and economic life of contemporary society. It exists in the public domain, acts as an indicator of current cultural thinking, and is a catalyst for social, cultural, and political change.

Entry
To apply for this course, students will need to meet the following requirements:
Typical offers
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English, or equivalent
- Tariff points: 112
- English Language Requirement: International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component
Selection process
Following the review of the application, students may be requested to provide a digital portfolio. If asked to provide a digital portfolio, students may also be invited for an online interview.
Entry requirements
If students don't meet the entry requirements, they may be eligible for BA(Hons) Graphic Design (with Foundation Year).
Structure
The course structure is as follows:
Year one
Students will study:
- Design for Print
- Design Contexts
- Design to Engage
- Design for Screen
Year two
Students will study:
- Process for Graphic Design
- Practice for Graphic Design
- Either International Exchange or Pathways for Graphic Design and Design Futures
Final year
Students will study:
- Independent Study in Graphic Design
- Professional Practice in Graphic Design
- Design Research Project

The fees for this course are as follows:
Full-time course

Part-time course
- Home Module Fee (15 Credit): Ł1,192
