Program Overview


Open Language Programme (short course)

The Open Language Programme is aimed at individuals looking to learn a language and develop their knowledge of it. There are a number of part-time modules that will help you develop these skills using a wide variety of teaching methods. Available at different levels, from beginner to advanced, each course combines face-to-face teaching with access to online materials and activities.

Our Open Language Programme is designed for individuals who want to learn a language and develop their knowledge of it. The programme offers a range of modules at different levels, from beginner to advanced, and combines face-to-face teaching with online materials and activities.


More about this course

The modules we offer include Arabic, English, French, and Spanish. These modules can be taken as part of your course structure, as extra (paid
on-credited) modules, or as a stand-alone course by members of the public.


Information for current London Met students

If the structure of your course allows you to take an Extension of Knowledge module, or an optional language module, you can opt to study a language through the Open Language Programme. If you are unsure that this applies to you, please check with your course leader. Once your programme has been approved, come along to one of our evaluation sessions to complete your enrolment.


Members of the public

All our Open Language Programme courses are open to fee-paying members of the public. You'll be learning alongside university students and have access to all the learning resources the University has to offer.


Fees

Fees are Ł340 for one module or Ł550 for two modules.


Assessment

Students are assessed by a variety of assessment tools such as tests, exams, coursework, essays, and presentations.
