Program Overview

Professional Certificates

Enhance your expertise and gain a competitive advantage by earning a certificate in addition to your degree. In most cases, completion of the certificate will require only three to four classes beyond those required for your major.

Archaeological Technician

The Archaeological Technician program is designed to offer students a solid understanding of the basic practical and theoretical knowledge necessary to be qualified for an entry level position with a CRM firm, or government agency.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Earning a Corporate Social Responsibility certificate is an excellent way to gain a breadth of understanding about how organizations can serve the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit. Add the certificate to any major to learn the role that companies play in our communities and how corporations with strong CSR plans succeed. Professionals can learn to grow market share, increase consumer loyalty, work toward a sustainable future.

Equity and Justice Certificate

The Equity and Justice certificate program provides an avenue for students, professionals and community members to obtain comprehensive, university-centered diversity training and learning through classroom, online, workshop, internship and service learning formats.

Modern Language Study

Completion of the certificate documents students’ novice proficiency in their chosen language/languages and their knowledge of the fundamentals of second-language acquisition and intercultural communication. These skills prepare students to enter the diverse workforce in the global economy where effective communication and collaboration with diverse colleagues and clients from a range of cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds is essential.

Organizational Dynamics

Succeeding in the modern workplace requires knowledge and insight that crosses traditional disciplinary bounds. Through the Certificate of Completion in Organizational Dynamics (CCOD) program, students from diverse academic majors can develop the interdisciplinary skills necessary to succeed and lead in public and private sector organizations — locally and globally. Students in this program learn to apply psychological principles to the study of work behavior. Topics include: personnel selection, performance appraisal, training, work motivation, teams, leadership and job attitudes. Additional work is required for graduate credit.
