Program Overview


Expressive Arts Therapy

Short Course

This one day workshop will aim to introduce a range of creative expressive activities for working with a range of individuals and groups. It will consider some of the key aspects of working creatively exploring aspects of Art Therapy and Arts and Wellbeing.

By the end of the workshops participants will:


  • Understand some of the key principles of Art Therapy and Arts and Wellbeing
  • Explore and utilise creative approaches to communication and engagement with others
  • Apply creative approaches to own practice, where appropriate

Academic Expertise

  • Facilitator: Imelda Hatton-Yeo
  • Imelda has a background in Mental Health nursing and trained as an Art Therapist. Imelda has worked with a range of community and voluntary organisations, education and the NHS offering individual and group Art Therapy, community arts and arts for health projects. Imelda’s main area of experience has been working in CAMHS as a practitioner and manager.
