Our MSc Computing course will equip you with advanced skills in the design and development of computer systems, preparing you for a thriving career in the digital industry.

What you'll do
- You’ll have the opportunity to gain vital work experience by taking on an industrial placement (this will extend your study time by 6-12 months).
- You’ll have the opportunity to work with one of our several active research groups in the Computing area.
- Throughout your studies you’ll be taught by a passionate team of experienced lecturers, many of whom are still active and influential in the industry.

Entry requirements
- Applicants should hold at least 2:2 degree in related subject such as computing
- Applicants with a non-computing subject degree require substantial relevant experience
- Applications from all candidates will be considered on their merits
- IELTS: 6.5 with no components lower than 6.0
Fees and funding
UK
- Full-time: £9,450 per year
- Placement year: £2,625 for the placement year
- Part-time: £1,050 per 20 credits
International
- Full-time: £17,900 per year

Learning and assessment
We’re big fans of flexible learning and we offer an ‘electronic learning’ environment to help you get the best out of this course. We combine traditional face-to-face lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions with a wealth of online materials which will help you to carry out independent learning.
We’ll assess your progress through a mixture of individual and group assignments, presentations, and exams. Towards the end of the course, you’ll complete a substantial project of your choice.
