Short Course

Our Summer and Winter Schools are in Preston, Lancashire, in North West England. They are an active English language learning programme.

What you'll do

• Join any Monday between selected dates
• 1-week minimum stay
• 17 hours classroom contact
• Choose your own study with a choice of themed study weeks
• Include midweek social programme
• Full access to UCLan learning, support and leisure facilities

Summer 2025

Classes consist of 17 hours of interactive workshops each week. There is also a weekly trip.

The level of English required for each theme is can be found brackets (eg, B1, B2)

Entry requirements

• Suitable for B1, B2 or C1 CEFR level students
• All students must be 18 years or above or have parental permission to attend as well as a UK based guardian

Fees and funding

From £750 per week (including study and accommodation)

Accommodation

• University approved self-catered accommodation
• Private bedroom with shared living and kitchen areas
• 10 to 15 minute walk from classrooms and city centre
