The AdVCert in Palliative Care Practice is a 40 credit module which is delivered using a blended learning approach. This course focuses on the theoretical and practical context of current Palliative Care practice.
Course Overview
This course provides the opportunity for healthcare professionals to develop their awareness of the issues and skills involved in the care of people at the end of life. You will consider the recommendations of the end of life strategy and common core competencies. You will evaluate how these are reflected in care provision.
Palliative Care Practice aims to enhance specialist knowledge and skills that relate to palliative nursing practice. The double module aims to support and enhance your role as a member of a multidisciplinary team, in providing holistic and individualised care for patients and their families.
This course can be studied as a standalone module, or as part of a wider programme of study leading to a Level 6 (BSc) or Level 7 (MSc) qualification.

Entry Requirements
Professional qualification plus 12 months clinical experience.
