Overview
On our BSc (Hons) Pharmacology (with Foundation Year) course you’ll receive a solid foundation in science. Discover how disease affects the human body and how drugs can help to restore normal function.

Entry requirements
- UCAS: 64 points at A2 including Chemistry or Biology or Environmental science or Applied Science
- BTEC Extended Diploma: MPP including science
- BTEC Diploma: MM including science
- Pass Access Course: 64 UCAS points including science
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 64 points from Higher Level Subjects including science
- T Level - P (D or E) in Science or Healthcare Science
- IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5
- GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English
Fees and funding
- UK: £9,535 for the first year
- International: £17,250 for the first year

Learning and assessment
We use a diverse range of teaching methods including lectures, small-group tutorials, computer-based learning, laboratory classes and practical workshop sessions.
Independent study is an important aspect of your degree course. The exact combination of study time will be detailed within your module descriptors.
Assessments are by a combination of in-class tests, online tests, lab books, practical reports and poster and oral presentations, allowing a full range of skills to be developed.
Future careers
Graduates can go onto further study (MSc, PG medicine or dentistry) or further research (MRes, PhD, working in industry).
