Entry requirements
- Applicants should be an experienced dentist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience on commencement of the course
- Applicants must be registered with an appropriate regulatory body and be a practising dentist
- Competency in English language (IELTS Level 6.5 or equivalent) is required
- All suitable applicants will be interviewed which will include a discussion of the proposed research area
- Satisfactory Occupational Health Clearance and DBS are required
- Applicants are required to submit a CV and portfolio of 10 clinical cases to detail academic and professional experience and two references, including one from a Senior Practitioner or Manager with their application.

Learning and assessment
You'll work closely with expert academics. Face-to-face teaching will be supported by the virtual learning environment. Your assessments will be based on both simulated and real-world clinical practice.
You will also have the opportunity to complete research based assessment and gain lab expertise.
Pathway opportunities
This programme follow the specialty curricula stated by the General Dental Council (GDC). Upon completion of the course, as well as an equivalence of 30 months full-time specialty specific training, you will be able to apply for the Royal Colleges of Surgeons membership examinations for:
