Learning Environment

Candidates may commence this module at any time during the academic year. The learning duration is negotiated through a learning agreement but it is not expected to be more than two semesters.

Through the engagement with a contemporary issue in their specialist area of practice, students are required to produce an assessable reflective piece of work that is directly relevant to professional practice of self or others. The product for assessment may include (but is not limited to) an essay, training materials, written article or a presentation. The precise nature of the reflective assessment will be negotiated with a project supervisor to ensure it meets the learning outcomes.

Bespoke courses can be commissioned and the delivery schedule and location will be negotiated. The module may also be commissioned to add an element of assessment to in house training and professional development activities.

Industry Links

The School has worked closely with some of the key local statutory and independent employers in the development of this module. The learning from this module can be used to requirements for continuing professional development and continuing education.
