- UCAS: 104 points at A2 including Maths and Physics or STEM at grade C
- BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in Engineering including Maths units
- Pass Access Course: 104 points including 15 level 3 credits in Maths and Physics or STEM at Merit
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass with 104 points from Higher Level subjects including Higher Level 6 in Maths and Physics or STEM
- T Level: M including Maths and Physics
- IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5

Learning and assessment
A three-year degree qualification typically comprises 360 credits and each 20 credit (a standard module) equates to 200 hours of study.
Modules comprise a mixture of lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical sessions and independent study.
Independent study is an important aspect of your degree course. The exact combination of study time will be detailed within your module descriptors, and will depend on your options.
Our course is delivered via a mix of lectures, practical’s and projects. Lectures are provided to guide and inform and your knowledge, whilst understanding and skills are developed through application.
Assessments will be divided between unseen examinations and a variety of regular assignments and challenges. Practical competence is important to the engineering philosophy here and this will be reflected in the design and weighting of assessments.
Guest lectures and masterclasses will be provided on a range of topics, including the effective use of software packages for computer-aided design, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis and so on.
