Overview

Our MSc Nutrition & Exercise Prescription course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve health and manage disease for people at different stages of life.

• Nutritional Medicine

  • Description: Explore, understand, and apply information about essential nutrients and their role in addressing health issues like obesity and nutritional deficiencies.
• Research Project for Sport Exercise & Nutritional Scientists
  • Module code: XS4026
  • Description: Develop your ability to formulate hypotheses and employ a relevant research strategy through effective decision-making.
• Research Methods for Sport, Health & Clinical Sciences
  • Module code: XS4037
  • Description: Learn higher-level research methods, statistical analysis, and the peer review process of scientific communication.
• Advanced Practitioner Skills in Sport & Exercise Physiology
  • Module code: XS4304
  • Description: Develop high-level testing and interpretation skills to deal with complex issues in sport and exercise sciences.
• Exercise Prescription in Clinical Populations
  • Module code: XS4804
  • Description: Gain the knowledge, technical, and critical appraisal skills required to work as an effective clinical physiologist.

Entry Requirements

• A minimum of a lower second-class (2:2) honors degree of a UK university or its equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Students should have studied research methods, physiology, biochemistry, and/or nutrition at level 5 or above.
• For international students, IELTS: 6.0 with no sub-score lower than 5.5 is required.

Fees and Funding

• UK: £9,450 per year (full-time), £1,050 per 20 credits (part-time)
• International: £17,900 per year (full-time)
