Overview

This degree is structured to keep pace with a changing and progressive industry, focusing on sustainability. Facilities managers co-ordinate all the services within a building, from its construction to ICT systems, workspaces, and energy efficiency.

  • This course offers an optional 48-week sandwich placement in industry for full-time students between Year 2 and Year 3.

Learning and assessment

  • A three-year degree qualification typically comprises 360 credits and each 20 credit (a standard module) equates to 200 hours of study.
  • Independent study is an important aspect of your degree course.
  • Most modules are lecture-based but computing facilities are made available when necessary to learn how to use AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
  • Most modules are assessed by examinations/coursework; the final mark being the average of the two.
