Are you 21 or older and interested in business, management, tourism, or hospitality? If you lack the Level 3 qualifications for a degree, our Return to Study programme can get you ready for higher education.


What You'll Do

  • Learn about the key concepts important to the theory and practice of a wide variety of business-related courses.
  • Develop the academic and research skills required for university study. This course could lead you to a career in the varied fields of business, management, tourism and hospitality.
  • Improve your confidence, self-awareness and interpersonal skills. You'll also gain insight into what it would be like to study on an undergraduate degree.

There are no specific entry requirements, applicants will be assessed on the basis of a personal statement which must be submitted as part of the application for consideration.

Fees and Funding

This programme is free of charge.


However, we recommend consideration of the cost of continuing into a full-time degree as students with existing financial commitments will need to consider the different modes of study, support, and financial options that exist.


Learning and Assessment

This is a blended learning course which is taught predominately online. We'll support you to develop the skills needed for the teaching and learning methods used in higher education.


The first session will be a full day on our Preston Campus from 10am – 4pm. After that, sessions run on Wednesdays 1pm – 5pm via online delivery.


Completion of the course will require:


  • 90% Attendance Taught Sessions
  • Completion of all Study Skills sessions (self-guided)
  • Submission of a personal statement and an academic recommendation for progression
