Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the course, students must meet the following requirements:
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English and Mathematics, or equivalent
- Tariff points: 120
- English Language Requirement: International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component
- A-level subjects: No specific subjects required
- EDEXCEL (BTEC) Diploma: No specific subjects required

- Welsh Baccalaureate: We accept tariff points achieved from the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications

Structure
The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry, with a focus on practical skills and industry relevance. The course structure includes:
- Year one: Introduction to real estate and development, property valuation and appraisal, real estate economics and finance, and property law and management
- Year two: Development appraisal and planning, investment valuation and appraisal, landlord and tenant law, professional practice for the built environment, rating and taxation, and real estate economics
- Placement year (if applicable): Students who choose the four-year (sandwich) course will spend a year away from the University on a work placement after year two
- Final year: Dissertation, international property management and investment, property transactions and technology, and valuations, plus one optional module
Learning and Teaching
The course is taught through a combination of lectures, workshops, seminars, group project work, and tutoring. Students will have access to industry-standard software and will participate in field trips and site visits to gain practical experience.
Assessment
Assessment methods include:
- Coursework, including essays, reports, portfolios, and presentations
- Seen and unseen exams
- Dissertation in the final year
Fees
There is currently no published fee data for this course. However, the UK Government has announced that the Undergraduate tuition fee cap for home students (including offshore) will increase every year in line with inflation.
