Introduction to Cyber Security BSc Hons

The Cyber Security BSc Hons program at Lancaster University is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle the challenges of cyber security. • Secure Systems and Data Engineering: Introduces the building blocks of the Authentication, Authorisation and Accountability (AAA) framework and the main categories of existing cryptosystems.

• Concurrent, Parallel, and Operating Systems: Investigates the theory and practical application of advanced operating systems.

Entry Requirements

• A levels: AAB, with A level Computing, Computer Science, or Mathematics considered for a lower offer.
• Access to HE Diploma: 36 Level 3 credits at Distinction plus 9 Level 3 credits at Merit.
• International Baccalaureate: 35 points overall with 16 points from the best 3 HL subjects.
• GCSE requirements: Mathematics grade 6/B, English Language grade 4/C.
• English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each component.

Fees and Funding

• Home fees: ｣9,790 for the 2026/27 academic year.
• International fees: ｣30,770 for the 2026/27 academic year.
• Scholarships and bursaries: Available, including the Lancaster Bursary and Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship.
