Global Humanistic University (GHU) is a private, online higher education institution chartered in Curaçao and licensed to operate in Anguilla by the Higher Education Licensing Board (HELB) of the Ministry of Education, Government of Anguilla. Its main offices are located in Anguilla (4400 Mount Pleasant Road, Rey Hill, The Valley) and in Curaçao. GHU was originally chartered by the Ministry of Education of Curaçao in March 2018, and has since expanded its regulatory recognition to include Anguilla as its primary licensing jurisdiction, where it holds awarding power for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees in the fields of Business Administration, Finance and Law.
GHU is a fully online, part-time distance learning institution, designed to make internationally recognised higher education accessible to working professionals and students wherever they are in the world. Its academic network currently spans more than 150 advisors and professors across over 37 countries, communicating in a combined 17 languages, reflecting the institution's genuinely global character.
Vision
GHU's vision is to become a global university, based in the Caribbean, that provides access to innovative, research-based teaching and learning to all who can benefit from it. The goal is to enable transformational journeys for students, empowering them with the tools, attributes and opportunities to turn their potential into success. GHU aspires to a future where everyone with a personal computer and internet connection has the opportunity to study affordably, at any time, in any place, from anywhere in the world. GHU reflects the diversity and internationalism of its home, drawing its student community and academic partners from across the Caribbean, South America and the wider world.
Mission
GHU's mission is to empower its students and equip them with the tools for a practice-based, logical and critical way of thinking, enabling them to navigate information and knowledge and to turn their potential into success. The broader institutional goal is to produce a global community of students and researchers who will make vital, lasting and sustainable contributions to the economic, cultural and social well-being of the societies in which they live and work.
The mission of GHU's Business School and programs is to develop professionals who can work in an ethical, perceptive and flexible manner across a range of organisations and companies in an increasingly global and rapidly changing environment.

Accreditations and recognitions
GHU holds a rigorous set of accreditations and international recognitions that affirm the quality of its programmes and its standing within the global higher education community:
- Higher Education Licensing Board (HELB), Ministry of Education, Government of Anguilla: licensed to operate as a private university with degree-awarding power at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral level in Business Administration, Finance and Law
- National Accreditation Agency Curaçao (AAC): institutional accreditation from the national quality assurance body of Curaçao, where GHU originally received its charter
- AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programmes, Germany): programme-level accreditation from one of Europe's leading quality assurance agencies, listed on the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR)
- ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, United States): specialised accreditation from the leading U.S. body for business education quality assurance, confirming that GHU's business programmes meet international standards

Academic offer
GHU offers doctoral, master's and bachelor's programmes, all delivered online and part-time, allowing students to advance their qualifications while continuing in employment. Doctoral programmes are offered directly by GHU; master's and bachelor's programmes are also available through GHU's growing network of academic partnerships worldwide. Teaching languages reflect the native language of the corresponding academic partner, making GHU's programmes accessible to students in their own language across a wide range of countries. The institution is actively seeking well-established and reputable academic partners globally to expand this offer further.
Artificial intelligence and online learning
GHU integrates artificial intelligence into its academic offer and online learning environment, with a dedicated section on its platform covering AI applications in education and professional development. The institution operates GHU Campus (campus.ghu.edu.ai), a dedicated online learning environment, alongside its main institutional website, providing students with a structured, technology-enabled study experience.
Sustainability commitment
GHU has tracked and publicly reports its environmental impact, having saved 3,252,836 kg of CO2 through its fully online, distance-learning model, eliminating the need for physical commuting and campus infrastructure associated with in-person study. This figure is displayed prominently on the institution's website as a reflection of its commitment to sustainability and responsible practice.
